Mechanical Engineering Department of PRSCET stands out as a flagship Department of the College which attract students from far away places by virtue of its high academic and infrastructural standards. The Dept. has well experienced Faculty, Lab equipment and other facilities which are keeping with that of an Engineering College of high repute. All efforts are taken to give the students sufficient exposure in emerging areas by way of invited lectures, projects, industry-institute interaction etc. The Mechanical Engineering Association, ‘Revolution Of Mexianz (ROM)’, has been contributing greatly in this regard.
The Department already has very strong infrastructural facilities including latest CAD/CAM packages and CNC Machines.
Mechanical engineers are involved in research, development, design, manufacture, and maintenance of almost all varieties of machinery, equipment and tools, ranging from Ships, Air Planes, Rockets, Robots, Bio-medical equipment and household appliances like Refrigerators and Air Conditioners. Mechanical engineers are behind the design and development of engines, vehicles, agricultural and mining equipment. Thus, the great diversity of applications of Mechanical Engineering indicates that engineers of this branch are much sought after in almost all industries.
The fast growing Automobile Industry in India places very large number of Mechanical engineers at covetable positions every year.
Mechanical Engineers have established themselves as good programmers and they are very much in demand in Software industries too.

In the present scenario, conventional industries are getting retrofitted into automated industries in order to take advantage of the higher production capacity by increased use of automated machineries and its optimization. The manufacturing and maintenance of these machineries require more number of qualified professionals in the area of computer-integrated manufacturing.
The current Mechanical Engineering batch put forwards the IEDC funded innovative projects like
- AUTOMATIC COCONUT PLUCKING MACHINE
- AUTOMATIC RUBBER STAMPING MACHINE
- AUTOMATIC HEAD SENSING WHEEL CHAIR
AUTOMATIC COCONUT PLUCKING MACHINE
Conventional coconut climbing have many demerits ,it’s a time consuming process. In present situation we find difficulty in finding skilled labour for this purpose ,manual climbing has its own risk also .Even though technology has attained so many remarkable achievements in the field of agricultural , the quest for AUTOMATED COCONUT PLUCKING MACHINE is still under consideration . Umpteen prototype were put forward by individuals as well as institutions, unfortunately none emerged as a product .In this scenario we came forward with our model. The design is done in such a way that it will suit any trunk, with the help of spring. It can be operated by a singleperson .we selected aluminium alloy 6063 as material for frame with four set of adjustable spring loaded wheels. We have done our programme in arduino uno .The system can be controlled by a remote .All gyro controllings were programmed in motion. We provided a riding track around the frame for the movement of cutting arm base. The remote controlling unit has a range of 100 m which promise a smooth controlling.

AUTOMATIC RUBBER STAMPING MACHINE
The Purpose of this project is to introduce an automated stamping system in the paper stamping process. We have used a qualitative and very practical approach in this project .Our project relates to an automatic sealing machine using a cam follower mechanism controlled by an electrical control unit (ARDUINO).The stepper motor is used to control the cam. And there is an automatic paper feeding mechanism provided. To make this process more simple and robust we searched a lot of technology. The project is basically an automation based control system done by integrating Arduino with paper stamping machine. This paper stamping machine basically deals with the conventional stamping automatically with the help of controller which controls the motion of stamp, paper feeding, etc. The paper feeding for stamping is done by roller mechanism. Two rubber rollers hold the paper and feed it into the stamping tray. While controlling the motion of cam connected to the stepper motor, it rotates to do the stamping process by the apparent motion of the follower. The cost of stamping paper by the machine is very less as compared to the man. But the machine can work for long hours without break where man require break. Our machine requires electricity to operate while man doesn’t, so electricity is cheaper than manual labor cost. Our machine can stamp any size of paper below A4 size.

AUTOMATIC HEAD SENSING WHEEL CHAIR
Thus we are in promise to deliver technically sound graduates for dynamic industry and associate innovation and research enthusiasm of students for the development of society locally and globally. And produce engineers with high moral and ethical values.
